Supplemental Educational Services (SES) employment opportunities:
Academics Plus, Inc. operates after-school tutoring programs throughout the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. We are always in search of qualified teachers and tutors who care for children and their advancement in school.

Position and educational requirements:

District Administrator

• Two to four year degree or related professional experience
• Reports directly to President and State Director of Academics Plus, Inc.
• Represents organization to community
• Recruits and hires staff
• Program planning and management
• Evaluates Area Administrator on a regular basis
• Oversees efficiency of day to day operations; makes adjustments as necessary
• Maintains relationships with partner agencies and actively seeks new community partnerships throughout the program
• Works to develop and implement program sustainability measures
• Evaluates Lead Teachers and Tutors on a regular basis
• Maintains responsibility for compliance and reporting
• Maintains responsibility for all program evaluation measures
• Ensures student and attendance data is accurate
• Other duties as necessary to fulfill program goals and objectives

Area Administrator

• Two to four year degree or related professional experience
• Reports directly to District Administrator and President of Academics Plus, Inc.
• Program planning and management
• Oversees efficiency of day to day operations; makes adjustments as necessary
• Recruits, hires and trains Lead Teachers and Tutors
• Maintains relationships with partner agencies and actively seeks new community partnerships throughout the program
• Works to develop and implement program sustainability measures
• Evaluates Lead Teachers and Tutors on a regular basis
• Maintains responsibility for compliance and reporting
• Maintains responsibility for all program evaluation measures
• Ensures student and attendance data is accurate
• Other duties as necessary to fulfill program goals and objectives

Lead Teacher

• Two to four year degree or related professional experience
• Coordinate and execute daily operations on-site
• Ensures that program is sufficiently staffed on a daily basis
• Supervises and evaluates tutors on a regular basis
• Ensures availability and appropriate use of program materials
• Handles emergencies and disciplinary matters as necessary
• Maintains student and teacher attendance records
• Communicates daily with Area Administrator and Home Office
• Other duties as necessary to ensure that the program is functioning in accordance with its stated goals and objectives

Tutor:

• Two to four year degree in the subject that will be taught
• Provide academic or enrichment instruction
• Provides effective academic instruction and enrichment
• Communicates any concern to the Lead Teacher and/or other program personnel as prudent
• Offers encouragement and maintains positivity as the program’s foremost priority
